Synopsis: The opening film of Jesus Revolution is heart touching and well written to bring clarity. The story portrays the “Jesus Movement” of the late 1960s and 1970s. The “Jesus Movement” was an evangelical Christian movement that began on the West Coast and eventually made its way through North America, Europe, and Central America before disappearing in the early 1980s. The main character is Greg Laurie, played by Joel Courtney. One boy lost and lonely teenager who attends a military school in search of his alcoholic mother. She still has hope that her father will come back for her soon. Simply put, a group of hippies that have one thing in common, they all have a spiritual journey and Christianity is their ultimate goal.
