Synopsis: Memory 2022 film is based on Alex Lewis, a contract assassin who tells his sponsors he’s finished but they fail to accept his offer. He’s not going to do it since his existing contract requires him to murder a 13-year-old girl, Beatriz! As is customary for Neeson’s tough-guy vigilante, he has his limits: When children are included, the audience is immediately softened. Furthermore, such a code allows the fundamental Neeson to emerge—a nice person behind his “special abilities.” It almost feels like a bounce in a late-career classification when he clearly outperformed his gratefully received.
