Synopsis:
Madeleine is currently in Matera with James Bond, following the capture of Ernst Stavro Blofeld. As he visits Vesper Lind’s grave, Specter attacks the killer Bond. Although Bond and Madeleine escape the killers, he admits that he betrayed her despite her request, and released her. Five years later, MI6 scientist Waldo Obruchev was abducted from an MI6 laboratory. With M’s approval, Obruchev developed Project Heracles, a bioweapon containing nanobots that are infected like a virus upon touching and encoded in a person’s DNA. Makes it harmful to others. Bond has retired to Jamaica, where he is approached by CIA agent Felix Litter and his aide Logan Ash, who are seeking Bond’s help in locating Obruchev. Bond is initially rejected, but Nomi, his successor as an MI6 agent and 007, tells him about Project Heracles, and Bond agrees to help Litter, warning Nomi not to interfere.
