Synopsis: The Woman King is a historical drama that takes place in the 19th century in the West African kingdom of Dahomey. It follows the all-female Agojie warriors and their general Nanisca as they battle not only the rival Oyo and Mahi tribes but also outsiders who want to steal their individuals and destroy their way of life.
